William Hutton was a tailor by trade when he emigrated from Scotland to New England in the early 1870's. Like so many other fine craftsmen of his time, he was meticulous in his attention to the quality of work.
In 1875, he established a small tailoring shop in Southington, CT. As his reputation for quality, value, and service to his customers grew, his business prospered. Since that time our family has continued William's tradition of selling the finest tailored clothing, sportswear, and accessories to generations of men. The Hutton’s store is now operated by William’s great grandson, Doug, and is located in historic Ridgefield CT.
